iPad Cosy Crochet Pattern

This free iPad cosy crochet pattern can be adapted to fit any tablet or device by adjusting the length of your starting chain. When starting your cosy check the length of your chain against the width of your device, it should be long enough to roughly match the width. The pattern also has a little bit of stretch to it so that gives you a little bit of extra space if needed.

This pattern is also available on Ravelry at low cost as a PDF if you prefer.

DK Yarn (I used Patons Smoothie DK)

5mm Crochet Hook

25mm Wooden Button

Wide eyed needle to weave in ends.

Abbreviations used (All US terms):

Ch = Chain

sc = single crochet

hdc = half double crochet

sts = stitches

st = stitch

sl st = slip stitch

rnd = round

Ch 18 (Your chain should be approximately the width of your device, add more chain stitches if needed or reduce them to make it smaller)

Round 1: hdc into 2nd chain from hook, hdc into all other ch stitches. At end of ch, ch 2 and then make hdc into reverse of each ch st. ch2 and sl st into first st of rnd to join.

Rounds 2: ch 2, hdc into every stitch in round, sl st into first st of rnd to join.

Round 3 onwards: Repeat rnd 2 until your cosy is the required length for your device (I worked 30 rounds in total for mine).

Cut yarn & fasten off.

To make the fastener:

Ch 9

Row 1: sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc into all remaining st. Fasten off

Weave in all ends using your wide eyed needle.

Make loop with fastener piece and sew the ends to the middle of the opening. Attach button on opposite side of the opening to fastener loop.

I hope you enjoy making your device cosy! Please be sure to pin this pattern for later :)
